Back to Quarters for Spring, Summer and Fall
Because of unanticipated changes to the Sumner County Schools calendar for 2010-2011, we have reverted back to shorter sessions for the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2010. Our Holiday Quarter will be longer; it will be a 9 weeks session.
Let us take this opportunity to thank our Sea Star parents-we greatly appreciate your support through the years, and we look forward to continue to be your resource for…Excellence in Aquatic Education!

Enrolling at Sea Star Swim School
At Sea Star, we understand that everyone has a busy schedule. For that reason, we try to make our enrollment process easy!
Our schedule for the upcoming year will be posted sometime in the fall. This way, you have plenty of advance notice as to how our quarters will run for the next year, and you can plan your child’s other activities accordingly. Please note that we do not offer refunds if a conflict with another activity arises once your child has been enrolled in a class; our schedule is set, so please be sure that a class will work with your child’s schedule before you enroll.
Re-enrollment is not automatic; you must affirmatively re-enroll each quarter. We offer “priority signups” as a courtesy to our students who are currently enrolled in class. This presents an opportunity to keep the same class day and time, or it gives a “first priority” to change a class day and time.
You may enroll two different ways; either in person or by telephone. NOTE: Payment in FULL is due at the time of signup; we cannot “hold” or reserve a class for your child unless you pay in full. For your convenience, Sea Star accepts the following forms of payment: cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.
Priority Signups:
We encourage our parents to take advantage of our Priority Signups. Our first week of enrollment for the next session is reserved for currently enrolled students to keep their current class and time. Here’s how it works:
- Sea Star Swim School communicates enrollment times by email, on the website, and through signage on the pool lobby bulletin board.
- On the day your child’s class meets during Priority Signup week, stop by the Pro Shop or give us a call at 822-8800 to re-enroll. Remember, you MUST enroll and pay in full during that week, or you lose your priority on that particular class. Classes will not be held without payment in full.
- Remember, Priority Signups are for keeping the same class day and time ONLY. Any changes to class day and time must be made after Priority Enrollment.
- Changes in class level: If your swimmer is transitioning to another class (Parent/Child to Toddler, Lap Swim to Little Flippers, Little Flippers to Barracuda, etc.), you will not be able to make this change until after the week of Priority Signups, and there is no guarantee that you will be able to reserve a particular class day or time.
Your child’s teacher will tell you when your child is ready to move to another level, such as Lap Swim or Little Flippers.
Makeup Classes:
Sea Star Swim School DOES NOT OFFER “make-up” classes for missed lessons or swim team workouts for any reason. We do not offer “make-up” classes for lessons where a substitute teacher has been called into a class. Our staff is here to serve you every day. Please do your best to attend each scheduled class.
Class Prices:
Generally, our quarters are eight weeks long, with each class meeting once per week. However, if a class runs more or less than eight weeks, we adjust the cost to reflect the shorter/longer term.
If you have one child, you pay the full tuition for class. If you enroll more than one child, we prorate the tuition of additional children. Click here for our current price list.
In addition to the fees for the session, there is a yearly family registration fee of $20 that is due the first time you enroll each calendar year.
