Well, it does at Sea Star Swim School, anyway! Our Summer Quarter I begins this Monday, May 4th and it will go through Saturday, June 20th. Our Saturday classes are almost completely booked, but we still have a few openings in the mornings and early afternoons on Monday – Thursday, and some more advanced level classes on Monday – Thursday. If your child is interested in competitive swimming and he/she can swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke consistently, we have a few openings remaining in our 4:15 Little Flippers classes on Monday – Thursday. Little Flippers is one of our pre-competitive swim classes; it lasts for 45 minutes, and swimmers learn strokes and skills essential to competitive swimming. Enroll today, because we always have a waiting list for these classes beginning in the fall.
School will be out before you know it, and it’s never too late to plan summer activities. May we suggest either a Mini Quarter session or even our Gym and Swim Summer Camp? Mini Quarters are great for the family on the go with all the fun summer brings. These two week session run 4 days per week (Monday – Thursday) for two weeks. What a great way to get some swimming skills before vacation! Because of the intense nature of Mini Quarters, swimmers must be at least 4 years old to enroll. Sometimes keeping your child engaged in something other than video games can be challenging. Our goal is to keep them fit and active and having loads of fun in our Gym and Swim Summer Camps. Designed for kids ages 6-13, children will participate in fitness activities and swimming and other water sports, from Marco Polo to water polo. And because we are on the banks of Old Hickory Lake, our campers will also learn how to canoe! Just imagine the fun!
