Water Polo Returns to Sea Star on Saturday, March 14th!

Water Polo at Sea Star

Water Polo at Sea Star

By popular demand, our Introduction to Water Polo class will return to Sea Star Swim School this Saturday, March 14 from 12:30-1:30.

This program is geared toward swimmers ages 7-14 who can swim 100 yards.  For the unfamiliar, Water Polo is a fast paced game that involves swimming, ball handling, coordination, and strength. Kids in our Youth Water Polo program will gain an understanding of the skills and game concepts necessary to be proficient in water polo through fun drills that will enhance leg strength and throwing mechanics.

Our coach is Keith Leggett, who played on the Canadian Olympic Water Polo Team, 1988-1992.  Keith was also a Collegiate All American and NCAA First Team Tournament Selection for the University of Southern California.

If your kids are looking for a new challenge in the water beyond our swim lesson program, then take the plunge and sign up for water polo today!  Coach Keith will help our players develop a tremendous amount of ability and natural sense for the game, while they make new friends, set goals, learn teamwork and take part in a developmental sports conditioning program.

Water Polo is a wonderful conditioning sport with an emphasis on swimming ability, upper and lower body strength development, and eye/hand coordination ….. did we mention … it’s just plain FUN!

The cost for the class is $85, plus a $20 family fee for new enrollees. Water Polo meets each Saturday until May 2nd, with the exception of April 11th when Sea Star will close for Spring Break.

Take the plunge…join us this Saturday for Water Polo at Sea Star!
